Laurie Burruus
Laurie is a professor emeritus at Pasadena City College. She recently retired as a consultant in education at LinkedIn Learning, where she advocated for academic initiatives, supported teaching and learning, and provided integration and implementation solutions since 2009. Laurie evangelizes all things education and learning. Before working at Lynda.com/LinkedIn Learning, she served for 22 years as a professor in Interaction Design and as the director of the Pasadena City College Digital Media, serving the state of California as a regional resource for collaboration between education, industry, and the community. In addition she has taught at ArtCenter in the Illustration Department where she introduced a new course titled "Data Visualization for Illustrators" as well as at USC Roski School of Art and Design in the Graduate Design program where she taught "Design Pedagogy." Currently she is a practicing artist and had a one person show of her ceramic artwork called Subliminal Landscapes, in June, 2025.
