Leadership + Mentoring
Step into Your Role as a Creative Leader
The FullCircle Leadership & Mentoring Program—LAMP—is one of the most meaningful ways members can participate in the ArtCenter community.
LAMP prepares ArtCenter alumni to mentor emerging graduates with clarity, confidence, and purpose. The experience begins with an immersive two-day, in-person workshop grounded in a practical, human-centered approach to leadership and mentoring.
Participants explore how their presence, listening, language, and way of being shape the people they mentor. They practice listening for concerns, aspirations, and possibilities rather than simply offering advice. They learn how purposeful conversations can create trust, clarify commitments, navigate breakdowns, and help mentees move from intention to meaningful action.
The program also introduces practical leadership disciplines that help mentors recognize strengths, understand how people work and learn, ask more powerful questions, support creative risk-taking, and bring greater structure and accountability to the mentoring relationship.
Following the workshop, each participant is matched with an emerging ArtCenter graduate for a three-month mentoring relationship. This gives mentors the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice while helping a mentee clarify goals, expand possibilities, and take meaningful steps forward.
LAMP is more than a workshop or a volunteer assignment. It is a leadership-development experience, a pathway to deeper participation in FullCircle, and an opportunity to build relationships across generations of the ArtCenter community.
Participants also become part of a growing network of trained mentors—alumni who learn from one another, share experience, strengthen their own leadership, and contribute their time and talent where it can make a lasting difference.
Participation requires a current FullCircle membership.
